A new spot for cookie lovers is set to open early next year when Crumbl Cookies launches a location in White City Plaza. This sweet addition will give people in the area another place to satisfy their cravings for delicious treats.
This will be the sixth Crumbl Cookies location for Dennis Sosa and his business partner Richard Howell. The new store will be located right next to Jimmy’s Tavern & Grill, at the site where the old Thai Place restaurant used to be, which is at 50 Boston Turnpike.
If you’ve passed by recently, you may have noticed Crumbl’s famous pink signage covering the windows. The cheerful message, “We’re moving on in!”, is a clear sign that something exciting is on the way.
According to Sosa, they are aiming to open their doors in late January or early February. He explained that while the store is still under construction, progress is moving forward smoothly.
“We’re still in construction, but we’re getting there,” said Sosa, who is 48 years old. “We’re currently working on the tile flooring and will be setting up the baking equipment by the end of this year.”
Part of a Growing Plan
Sosa shared that opening a Crumbl Cookies store in Shrewsbury was always part of their long-term plan. When he and Howell first decided to go into business together, they dreamed of expanding to multiple locations.
The business partners first opened a Crumbl Cookies store in Millbury at The Shops at Blackstone Valley in May 2022. Since then, they have opened stores in Hudson, Attleboro, Foxboro, and even East Greenwich, Rhode Island. They are also thinking about opening another location in Leominster.
“It’s been an amazing experience, and we’re really excited to keep growing,” Sosa said.
What to Expect at the New Location
Based on information shared with the town, the new Shrewsbury store will not have indoor seating. The store will be open every day, except Sundays.
The menu will feature some of Crumbl’s best-known cookies, like the classic chocolate chip. But customers can also look forward to fun and creative flavors. Some of these include:
- Key Lime Pie
- Galaxy Brownie
- Red Velvet
